Food Basket

For the past 30 years the Town the of Poughkeepsie Police Benevolent Association has given back to the community by donating holiday food baskets to needy families in our area.

We started this endeavor with a single food basket to a family and today we are now donating over 100 Holiday food baskets each year to needy families in our community as a gesture of good will during this holiday season.

Each year the PBA contacts schools within the Town who supply us with the number of needy families. Each year Major supporters like, Adams Fair Acre Farms, The MCCOLLISTER Transportation Group Inc. and the Poughkeepsie chamber of Commerce assist the PBA with this endeavor.

Each food basket contains a complete 16 to 20 pound turkey dinner and all of the fixings, right down to apple pie for dessert

During the week of Christmas PBA members and their families gather to fill the baskets at the community room located at 19 Tucker Drive Poughkeepsie, NY and following the assembly of the food baskets, members deliver them to the schools where they are turned over to the families in need.

Any questions please contact Detective Cordato at 485-3670. Thank You and Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
